Fish of the Week: Knight Goby

Stigmatogobius sadanunidio
Type: Brackish
A.K.A: Fan Dance Goby
Scientific Name: Stigmatogobius sadanunidio
Origin: Asia
Temperment: Is a community fish but will eat smaller fish such as neon tetras. Some knight goby have been known to be territorial.
Lifespan: 4-6 years
Aquarium Conditions:
-ph: 7.5 - 8.5
-Temp: 75 - 82
Aquarium Size: A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended.
Fully Grown Size: up to 4 inches
Food: The knight goby prefers live food but does eat an array of food such as blood worms, tubifex worms, and flake food
Breeding: If you would like to breed the knight goby you should provide plenty of hiding spaces such as caves or driftwood for them to hide/lay eggs.
Sexing: The males tend to have larger tails and the females have more of a yellowish tint to the body.
Tank Mates: Can live with other peaceful, larger tank mates. Again, this fish is not recommended with small fish as it may eat them.
