What To Do About A Cloudy Fish Tank

The best way to keep a fish tank pristine looking is to make sure to clean it on a regular basis. Its also a good idea to use as little chemicals as possible. There are also many factors that could be clouding up your tank:

1. Filtration system- Do you have adequate filtration? Make sure that the filter you have on your tank is the correct filter for the tank size. If the filter is meant to clean a 5 gallon fish tank and you have a 15 gallon tank, then it won't clean the tank.

2. Food- Are the fish being overfed? Sometimes if you put too much food into the tank it can cause cloudiness. It also depends on the type of food that you are feeding your fish. (Some food products can also cause water cloudiness). Are your fish tropical fish? If they are, then I recommend feeding them Tetramin Tropical Crisp Fish Food, 6.53 oz; They don't cloud the water as much and fish seem to love it. :)

3. Aeration- Do you have any air stones in your tank? Air stones help aerate the tank and keep the water moving so that it stays cleaner longer. The fish also enjoy playing around in the bubbles too. :)

4. The fourth and final problem could be that you just have some messy fish. Some fish are more messy than others and they tend to cloud the water easily. Goldfish tend to do this quite often.
